Defiance Electric has been partners with American Power Conversion (APC by Schneider Electric) for over 15 years.  We became their first “Elite” partner in the nation and have continued working closely together on everything from data centers to IT closets.  We know their products very well and they rely on partners like us to educate and sell their products and services.   

Our APC offerings fall into two categories: products (UPS, network racks, data center cooling equipment, etc.) and services (equipment service contracts, maintenance contracts, equipment upgrades).  If you can find a product on their website, we can get it for you.  If you already have equipment and would like to procure a preventative maintenance or service contract, we can do that too.  Contact us or read about these services below… 

 

  • Initially, we are engaged by APC or the customer to review their project. The goal of the site assessment is to determine current status, capacity of the system, its availability for new equipment and what the installation requirements will be to better inform our product selection, design, and configuration.

  • Based on the site assessment, products are selected for the space and inserted into APC’s “Infrastruxure Design Portal” (ISX), where both UPS systems, power distribution, cooling systems and monitoring are designed. This tool enables us to create designs specific to the requirements of a space and verify them before moving forward to installation.

    This tool also enables us to customize any equipment, change its warranty terms and configure support options for the customer.

  • Once an ISX solution has been finalized and approved, we coordinate your delivery options and modify delivery schedules to suit the projects needs.

  • We are a reseller of APC products and support services. This includes anything you can find on their website, typically at a lower price point.

    We offer manufacturer product services to keep your equipment in optimal operational condition. These services include, but are not limited to; preventive maintenance, battery refresh services and capacitor replacements.
